A constant feeling
I’m in the way
Buzzing round your
Head again
Please don’t take offence
I’m compelled to be
A source of peoples’ aggravation
Bathing in the sun
Has never been much fun
Flying round in
Squares again
Heat from sunshine
Drives me insane
Cooling hands and feet
Soothing to the touch
Easing any aggravation
Seeing people with sunscreen
Enjoying sun
Leaves him feeling vulnerable
And needing some
In the evening
My time has come
Plans and scheming
Enough is done
Seize this chance in hand
When they pop that lid
I’m diving for that soothing lotion
Bathing in the sun
Has never been so fun
With his plan now all conceived
He starts to breath
The smallest sighs of some relief
But they’re so short lived
The sense of cooling
Begins to fade
Replaced by sinking
Beneath a wave
A white and gloopy end
Drowning in this ooze
I’d change for any aggravation
Bathing in the sun
Will never be as fun
With his plan now all complete
We start to see
The folly of his way
To achieve relief
Unexpectedly
He met his end
And there for we propose

Ah, why didn't I buy this earlier? Has been on my wishlist since it's release and Bad Elephant Music's sampler and ongoing sales campaign luckily triggered the buy.
Tags given are post-progressive and post-rock, but the music feels much lighter than I usually associate with those tags. Quite song-oriented, indeed. Great music, great vocals. Carsten Pieper

I'm a recent Sanguine Hum convert and I can't believe it's taken me until now to discover them! This is a simply fabulous album. If you're a Steven Wilson, Anathema or even a Gentle Giant, Jellyfish or Hatfield and the North fan, get yourself a copy. Great musicianship, wonderful melodies, superb voice, top songwriting. The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
